Tommie "TJ" Spencer Jr.

Coach TJ brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to the Louisiana Hornets. His coaching journey began in 2018 with the local recreational league, where he first discovered his passion for developing young athletes.

In 2019, Coach TJ transitioned to the travel ball scene, where he has been making a difference ever since. His dedication to the sport reached new heights in 2022 when he took on the role of assistant coach at the high school level, a position he held for two consecutive years.

Beyond his coaching expertise, Coach TJ brings a strong “team-first” mentality forged through his years of service as a firefighter, a career he began in 2009. He understands the importance of collaboration, dedication, and unwavering support for every member of the team.

Coach TJ’s motto for softball? “Go big or go home!” He believes in playing with intensity, embracing the fast-paced nature of the game, and adapting to its ever-changing dynamics.
